Building Quality Jobs Through Healthy Workplaces and Culture
This interactive session helps participants strengthen safety, engagement, and retention by defining the healthy workplace experience they want and translating it into everyday practices. Grounded in the Oregon Quality Jobs Framework (Element B: Safe Working Conditions / Worker Engagement), together we will identify observable “what it looks like” elements that make work safer and more engaging. Participants then connect those elements to organizational culture; mission, values, and core values; helping participants contribute to cultures that sustain retention across the employment lifecycle. We close with the role of a learning culture in unlocking innovation, creativity, and long-term workforce stability.
Key Outcomes
Participants will leave with:
- A shared, practical definition of a healthy workplace aligned to the Quality Jobs Framework Element B, including clear “what it looks like” elements that support safe working conditions and engagement.
- A shared understanding of organizational culture and the role of the mission, vision & core values; why it matters; and how culture connects individuals with the organization, shaping retention across the employment lifecycle.
- Practical insight into learning culture and how it enables innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in quality jobs.
